Q’s Golf League Rules
USGA Official Rules of Golf apply.
An official USGA/World Handicap is not required to play in this league during this current season. The exception is Match Play where those who choose to participate must have an official active Golf Handicap Index Number (GHIN).
Once you sign up for the league and pay your membership fee, you will be invited by email to the portal. You need only respond to the email to set up your login information at www.golfgenius.com.
Scoring – "Live scoring" is in effect for the league. Players should download both the Raccoon Creek APP and the Golf Genius APP (backup) onto a mobile device.
- On the day of play, one player will open the app on the phone and select our event. A screen will appear to enter scores hole by hole.
- It is recommended that the foursome keep a backup hard card in order to compare and verify scores at the end of the round, but the live scoring will be the official score.
- Record your gross score, the computer program will calculate the appropriate handicap for net score.
- Anyone in the league can look at the live leaderboard at any time during the round by using the golf genius app.
For those players who have an active GHIN:
- Reporting to GHIN: Under the World Handicap System the maximum score on any hole for reporting purposes is net double bogey. The computer will make that adjustment automatically. The league manager will report the round to GHIN.
- Remember GHIN updates daily not every two weeks as in the past. All your casual rounds should be reported on the day played.
Registering for a round.
Because this year we are not requiring a GHIN and because there is no Pot Game other than “Closest to the Pin.” We will be utilizing “Open Tee Times.” Approximately 7 days prior to the round, you will receive an email inviting you to the round. You must reply “Playing of Not Playing” and then select the tee time you wish to play in. The League Manager may occasionally have to slightly adjust tee times prior to play in order to optimize the tee sheet.
The round weekly registration period will start 7 days prior to the round and close two days prior to the round at 10:00 am.
Pace of Play
- Players are to observe the principles of “Ready Golf”. (See Ready Golf Guidelines)
- Pace of Play at Raccoon Creek Golf Course is 2 hours 10 minutes per side.
- Searching for a player’s ball is limited to 3 minutes only. (USGA Rule 18.2b)
- There is a GPS tracking system on the carts at Raccoon Creek, remember pace of play will be monitored by the staff.
